The cardboard box was a revelation - to start with I was looking at all these fancy tent contraptions online that cost an unreasonable amount. The box does the same job for nothing 😃 I feel quite zippy with my new batteries too!
Yeah it occurred to me that people see the end product but don’t really know everything that goes into it. And you’re so right about the funding. It’s by far what most of the time ends up getting spent on unless you’re one of the lucky few to be commissioned by one of the streamers - though that comes with a whole load of other issues I’m sure…! You did brilliantly with your kickstarter - crowdfunding is no picnic either!
I love getting a glimpse of the documentary making process inevitably had no idea how complex it is to get things made and love the magical curve ball of getting funding linked to Somewhere Over the Rainbow! So much of the frustration with art is having a vision for something but not the funds, not helped when people don’t pay their invoices. Hopefully the new batteries can help power you through the last bit of financial report stuff 😊
