Yes, do it! Though you definitely need to find a time when you're feeling quite resilient to watch it...!

Thanks for the newsy update, Vicki, and thanks for the mention. I'm sure there must be plenty of other people out there with an opinion on Threads. I've restacked.

Hello from Australia. My husband and I have Threads on DVD & we watched it again last week. I think I've seen it three or four times and it has the same effect on me each time. It is fascinating, informative, and terrifying!

Oh wow, was that just a coincidence that you rewatched it or were you aware of the 40th anniversary? Fascinating, informative and terrifying is right! Do you know if it was broadcast in Australia back in '84?

My husband watched it as a teenager when it was broadcast on Australian TV in 1985, and he knew about the 40th anniversary. I saw it for the first time about 15 years ago.

It really was - and somehow even the better for us having absolutely no expectations about it. I did think of you actually on the last morning when my 'navigator' friend had left on an earlier train than us and we were doing our best to get around the Old Town from memory without maps on our phones to rely on. I confess I was pretty hopeless! 😁

LOL!!!! We’re kindred spirits, Vicki! Although to be honest I’d’ve probably failed to find my way across the Channel in the first place….. 😉
