I LOVE THIS! So much more to add to my list! And dang, I need some gel pens. But can we talk about velodromes? Do you get to ride in a velodrome? Do you get to race in a velodrome?
Gel pens are the best, right! I've never ridden in an actual velodrome but have spectated at a couple, one where I live now in Brighton and the other an outdoor velodrome in South London close to where I used to live - and excitingly where they raced the 1948 London Olympics. I've not yet had the pleasure of going to one of the fancy indoor ones - like the one they build for London 2012 - but it's on my bucket list for sure. They are so steep and so shiny..! Watching people race very fast on their bikes is one of my happy places in life 😄
I’m more of a leisurely/city rider honestly. But I absolutely love watching the professionals ride. Road racing especially. Not long till the Tour de France now, 3 weeks of summery cycling viewing heaven. I guess they must have a velodrome somewhere near LA at least from the 1984 olympics (and the next one in 2028 too presumably)? That’d definitely be worth a visit I reckon. PS Am *very* impressed by you super-sporty triathletes…😄
100% borrowing (aka stealing) this idea.
Got around to making my list today.

Ohhhh racing very fast on my bike is one of my happy places. I’m in the states and I don’t think we have many velodromes here. Must investigate…
